SAVE ME
It’s that tragic time of the month again—I’m sure month-end is a nightmare for every employee. The shift we make from biryani to khichdi, in my opinion, is the smoothest transition ever.(better than influencer's before and after look). And honestly, everyone knows saving karni chahiye, bro. I know, I know—I should, but some things are beyond one’s control. But you know what’s in your control? Saving these five things I’m about to mention, alongside the last ₹643 left in your bank account.
Save Your Opinion
These days, people throw opinions around like
free samples at a supermarket. “You’re still single? Why?” “You left your job?
Big mistake!” “Pineapple on pizza? Unacceptable!” Opinions are like dhaniya—wherever
there’s food, just sprinkle it on. But not every dish needs dhaniya you never
know, it might be a dessert that absolutely doesn’t need that extra garnishing.
Save Your Decision-Making Power
The other day, my friend took 18 minutes to choose between garlic naan and butter naan..... Eighteen Full Minutes!!! You know how long it takes to eat two naans? Eight minutes. Imagine wasting more time picking food than actually eating it.
Save Your Energy
Everyone says, never be in a room that makes you uncomfortable. True. So stop being everyone’s Red Bull, constantly giving them energy. You’re water...…. sometimes you need to hold yourself back like a dam, sometimes you need to flow like a river. But don’t go pouring yourself into places where you’re not needed… Okay, that got a little too deep. Moving on.
Save Your ‘Yes’
It’s easier to drink water—I’m sure you’ll agree. But you know what’s even easier? Saying yes. You don’t have to face anyone, no anxiety kicks in… it just slips out effortlessly. Honestly, I don’t even remember the last time I said no. So here’s a reminder to myself and to the world— Learn the magic of NO. It has fewer letters than ‘Yes’ but is way harder to say. No also takes less time to pronounce. Do you really need more reasons to say no, or is this enough?
Save Your Memories
Okay, time to get a little senti. While
you’re busy saving money, don’t forget to save the moments that make life fun.
That two minute conversation with your parents, the broke but happy
club-hopping, the random laughter that made no sense—these are the things that
matter. Money comes and goes, but these stories? They’ll stick around forever.
Adding this to my ‘To remember list’ Thank you Miss Aulakh!
